klia1.jpg  Hi! I’m back🙂

My current job requires me to travel a lot. Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) has become my weekly transit point.

So what’s the cheapest way to get to  KL from KLIA? There are many options for you to choose. Either by Cab, Bus, Train – all will pick you up and make you move. The only differences are of course money, time and satisfaction.

Here are some tips for you to take away:

By Cab: (to most hotel in KL and to KL Sentral)
It will cost you RM 67++ (budget) and 92++ (limousine).
Differences:
Money – Most expensive
Time – Definitely more than 1.15 hour (Frequency: anytime)
Satisfaction – To me just okay but tiring. Overcharge!

By Bus: (to KL Sentral)
RM 10 for fare and RM 1 for bag.
Differences:
Money – Cheapest
Time – Definitely more than 1.15 hour (Frequency: every 30 minutes)
Satisfaction – To me just okay and tiring but hey.. with that fare it’s worth it!

By Train (KLIA Ekspres): (direct to KL Sentral)
Train or ERL they call it here, will charge you RM 35.
Differences:
Money – Reasonable
Time – 28 minutes (Frequency: every 15 minutes)
Satisfaction – Satisfied!

By Train (KLIA Transit): (to KL Sentral but stops at 3 locations: Salak Tinggi – Putrajaya&Cyberjaya – Bdr Tasik Selatan)
Total fare varies. If you take 1 train to KL Sentral, the cost is RM 35. The trick here is to take 2 trains. Take train to Putrajaya&Cyberjaya (RM 6.20), check out and buy the next ticket. Wait for 20 minutes. Then take the next train to KL Sentral (RM 9.50). Total spendings = ONLY RM 15.70. What a great bargain!
Differences:
Money – Very low if you play the game well
Time – 35 minutes (Frequency: every 30 minutes)
Satisfaction – Excellent!

Reality Check:
1. Time is money.
2. Remember No.1.

I hope the tips will help you travel without draining your pocket faster. So what’s your comment?

See you again,
